Product Manager

Your mission
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Product Manager in the Data & Innovation team at CALM, you will be responsible for driving key product initiatives relating to how we can improve the user experience for all CALM audiences (Fundraisers, Volunteers, Subscribers, Service Users, etc.). With the support of the Head of Data Innovation and other stakeholders across the organisation you will help to launch new products and improve existing ones.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritise features, maintain backlog, and guide development through delivery.
  • Translate product strategy defined by the Head of Data and Innovation, into detailed requirements.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the CALM audiences. Understand and validate the real needs of supporters/service users and communicate those needs clearly to the team and the organisation.
  • Help to facilitate the mapping of end-to-end product journeys, ensuring solutions are holistic and departmentally aligned. 
  • Actively engage and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to translate the needs and value propositions.
  • Work with internal and external designers, agencies and providers to ensure excellent UX and delivery.
  • Analyse user feedback to drive continuous product development.
  • Work with data to analyse performance and opportunities to optimise the user journey.

Here are example of some of the exciting projects we work on at CALM:

  1. LOYAL - development of an account area/membership area for our supporters, to help them better personalise their experience/relationship with CALM in leading the movement against suicide and enable is to provide better support to our users.
  2. QBOT - A chatbot that provides support to Service Users and Supporters inside and outside of our (human) helpline/webchat service hours.
  3. RIO - We are building a chat-based triaging service (intelligent hold agent powered by AI and Machine Learning) to help people find support, advice and comfort when they are at their most lonely, vulnerable, and in need.



Your profile
WHO YOU ARE

The Product Team is a new growing team at CALM and we are looking for someone who is currently Junior Product Manager and looking to take on more responsibility and ownership or someone with a background in user experience research or business analysis, who is passionate about crafting delightful, user-centric products.

  • Ability to gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Experience in Product scoping, requirement gathering, schedule and estimations reviews and validations, project execution, tracking and monitoring, documentation of concerned projects.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Can effectively collaborate with third party development/engineering teams.
  • You’ll need the confidence to be able to present information to varied audiences both in writing and verbally 
  • Have a strong desire to grow and develop, and be ambitious 
  • Autonomous, proactive, self-dependent.
